PATRICE SCHREYER
Mirages are, in a way, the lie of the desert.
Jean Cocteau (The bride and groom of the Eiffel Tower, p.97, Folio n°908)
Born on August 15, 1973 in Neuchâtel, he spent his childhood and schooling in Neuchâtel. Beginning of photographic awareness at the age of 19 during a trip to the Himalayas. After starting out as a photographer in the outdoor environment for the European press, he now works to highlight Swiss companies in fields as varied as watchmaking, construction, communication, medical, training, social, architecture, portraits, ...
At the same time, Patrice Schreyer developed an artistic and personal approach during numerous trips. His personal approach is sometimes close to abstraction, strongly expressive and contrasting, often dark, and mixes natural landscapes and "interior landscapes".

The desert
For the Carthusians, the area surrounding the houses of the order was called the "Desert".
This is explained because they were generally located at the bottom of an inaccessible valley.
A metaphysical and poetic name that embraces this project.
